This is a virtual Run and Walk challenge only for Adobe employees.


General Rules

  1. Daily Activity Scoring: Only one activity per day with max score will count towards the challenge. If multiple activities are logged in a single day, the one with the highest score will be considered.
  2. Minimum Distance Requirement: An activity must cover at least 2 km to be eligible for scoring,
  3. Strava Visibility: All activities must be publicly visible on Strava to qualify.
  4. Manual Entries Excluded: Manually logged activities on Strava will not be scored.
  5. Tagging Restriction: Activities where an athlete is tagged by another participant will not be scored.
  6. Elapsed Time Limit: The elapsed time of an activity must not exceed 140% of the moving time. For example, if an activity has 10 mins of moving time, its elapsed time (total time) should be no more than 14 minutes.
  7. Minimum Activity Count for Leaderboard: To be eligible for a top position and qualify as finisher, an athlete must have at least 10 scored activities.
  8. Tie-Breaker Rule: In case of a tie in points,
  9. the athlete with higher activity count will be ranked higher.
  10. Lower Total Idle time (Total Elapsed Time โ€“ Total Moving time) will be used as a second order tie breaker.
  11. Category definition: For the sake of simplicity, the following activities in Strava will be grouped as Run: Run, Trail Run, Treadmill Run , and these will be grouped as Walk: Walk, Hike.
  12. Scoring: Scoring will be determined based on the total distance and the average pace of the activity based the matrix below
  13. Finisher: To qualify as a finisher, participants must complete at least 10 scored activities during the challenge, with each activity covering a minimum distance of 2 km.

Code of Honor

By voluntarily participating in this virtual challenge, the participant agrees to the following principles of fair play and honesty:

Accuracy in Reporting: The participant shall accurately record and submit their activity data, relying on the measurements captured by their gadgets (e.g., GPS watch, smartphone app), and shall not intentionally falsify or inflate activity distances or times.

Individual Effort: This challenge celebrates individual effort, the participant shall complete all runs under their own power and shall not use any form of unauthorized assistance.

Respect for the Spirit of the Challenge: The participant shall uphold the spirit of friendly competition and personal achievement that underlies this event.


Indemnity Clause

By voluntarily participating in this virtual challenge, the participant is deemed to have understood and agreed to the following:

Fitness to Participate: The participant affirms that they are in good physical health and have the necessary fitness level to safely participate in running / walking activities and that they are solely responsible for ensuring that their participation does not pose any risk to their health.

Assumption of Risk: Running / walking involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injuries, accidents, and health issues. The participant voluntarily assumes all such risks associated with my participation in this challenge.

Release of Liability: The participant hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless Adobe Inc., its directors, employees, volunteers, agents, and affiliates (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, losses, damages (including but not limited to personal injury, disability, death, and property damage), costs, and expenses of any kind or nature whatsoever, whether known or unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with their participation in this virtual challenge, including but not limited to any injuries or health issues that they may sustain, regardless of whether such claims are based on negligence or any other theory of liability.

Personal Responsibility: The participant is solely responsible for their safety and well-being during all activities undertaken as part of this challenge. This includes, but is not limited to, choosing safe running routes, using the right gear, being aware of their surroundings, and taking appropriate precautions based on weather conditions and their physical capabilities.
