General Challenge Rules:
- It's a virtual challenge. Athlete can run from any location.
- There is no limit on the per day activity count but request to all please do not fatigue yourself.
- Minimum run distance for a single activity is 3km. Run done less than 3km won't be considered.
- It is mandatory to upload all the activities on Strava app, with map (s) visible, else points will not be awarded. It is recommended to provide heartbeat and cadence data if possible, for fair evaluation.
- Any flagged off activity on Strava app won't be considered for scoring.
- Tagging an activity by someone else is not allowed and will not be scored.
- Duplicate activities for e.g. activity recorded simultaneously on multiple devices - Only one activity with higher distance will be considered for score, remaining will be rejected by the app. Request to all athletes to upload only one activity.
- Manual entries on Strava will not be scored.
- Only outdoor run activity will be considered. Indoors runs for e.g. Treadmill will not be considered for score.
- Prefer to run and walk in a park, large ground or an open area with full focus on Road Safety. This prevents GPS inaccuracies that often occur due to high rises, when running within society.
Scoring Rules:
- Every activity must be of a minimum distance of 3km in order to be scored.
- Activities with a pace of at least 10min/km will be awarded 1 point per km.
- Activities with a pace greater than 10min/km will be awarded 0.7 points per km.
- Additional Bonus for both Run and Walk Activities:
Bonus shall be awarded ONLY when the activity meets the following criteria:
- Pace <= 10 min/km as reported by Strava AND
- Elapsed Time is within 125% of the Moving Time as reported by Strava.
- If both the above conditions are met then there are bonus points at three milestones as described below
Bonus Point 1 for Distance > 5 km
If a run distance is 7 kms and meets the qualification criteria i and ii, then score will be calculated as:
7 * 1 = 7 Base Points (as mentioned in point #2)
Since the run is > 5 km it will get an additional point of 1.
So, the final score will be 7 + 1 = 8.
Bonus Point 1 for Distance > 10 km
For e.g. if a run is done of 12 kms then score will be calculated as:
12 * 1 = 12 Base points (as mentioned in point #2)
Since the run is > 10 km it will get 1 Bonus point for the 5 km milestone and the 10 km milestone .
So, the final score will be 12 + (1 + 1) = 14.
Bonus Points 2 for distances above 15 kms
If a run is done with distance greater than 15 kms then additional Bonus of 2 points shall be awarded.
For e.g. if a run is done of 17 kms then score will be calculated as:
17 * 1 = 17 Base points (as mentioned in point #1)
Since it is greater than 15 kms it will get additional 2 points as Bonus.
So, the final score will be 17 + (1 + 1+ 2) = 21.
