Official Rule Book | Organized by Spin & Stride

Break through winter lethargy and awaken your inner stamina! This 21-day virtual endurance challenge rewards precision, strategy, and daily discipline—not just mindless miles! ❄️✨

📅 1. EVENT OVERVIEW

🏆 Challenge: OJAS: The Chill Chaser Challenge 2026

🗓️ Dates: 10 November 2026 to 30 November 2026 (21 Days)

📍 Format: Virtual (Open across India & Worldwide)

📱 Tracking: Direct sync via Strava (Connect your account via the official link)

⏰ Time Standard: All tracking, cutoffs, and daily cycles follow Indian Standard Time (IST)

🌅 Event Day Cycle: Every single day runs strictly from 00:00 to 23:59 IST

🎯 2. SCORING SYSTEM (Points per Kilometer)

🚴 Cycling: 1.0 Point per KM (Average moving speed: 10.0 to 40.0 km/h)

🏃 Running: 5.0 Points per KM (Average moving pace: 08:30 min/km or faster)

🚶 Walking: 4.0 Points per KM (Average moving pace: slower than 08:30 min/km)

🔢 Scoring Calculation & Math:

Points are calculated per activity based on the exact distance recorded by Strava.

Distance is truncated (not rounded up) to two decimal places (0.01 km) and multiplied by the category point rate.

Daily scores are summed up to form your cumulative Total Score, displayed to 2 decimal places.

All distances are calculated strictly in kilometers (KM), regardless of your personal Strava display settings.

📏 3. MINIMUM ACTIVITY CRITERIA

An activity qualifies for points only if it meets all minimum criteria for that category:

🚴 Cycling:

🎯 Minimum Distance: 10.0 KM per ride (Minimum 10.0 Points)

🐢 Minimum Speed: 10.0 km/h (Rides below 10.0 km/h are treated as heavily paused/non-moving logs and will not qualify).

🚀 Maximum Speed: 40.0 km/h (Rides exceeding 40.0 km/h are flagged for motorized or vehicular assistance and will not qualify).

🏃 Running (Pace <= 08:30 min/km):

🎯 Minimum Distance: 2.0 KM (Minimum 10.0 Points)

🔢 Points Ratio: 5.0 Points per KM

🚶 Walking (Pace > 08:30 min/km):

🎯 Minimum Distance: 2.5 KM (Minimum 10.0 Points)

🔢 Points Ratio: 4.0 Points per KM

🛑 Maximum Cutoff Pace: Walking activities slower than 20:00 min/km are treated as paused or non-moving logs and will not qualify.

⚡ 4. PACE INTEGRITY & AUTO-CONVERSION RULE

Your Strava activity title or selected activity tag does not decide your score—your Actual Average Moving Pace does:

🏃 Pace <= 08:30 min/km: Automatically scored as Running (5.0 pts/km), minimum 2.0 KM required.

🚶 Pace > 08:30 min/km: Automatically scored as Walking (4.0 pts/km), minimum 2.5 KM required.

⚠️ The Conversion Distance Trap: If you log a 2.2 KM run on Strava but your moving pace drops to 09:00 min/km, it auto-converts to Walking. Since Walking requires a mandatory minimum of 2.5 KM, this 2.2 KM activity will NOT qualify for points.

📌 Pace is computed across the complete activity (Total Moving Time ÷ Total Distance). GPS variations at the 08:30 boundary are not grounds for manual appeal.

📍 5. WHAT COUNTS AS A VALID ACTIVITY

✔️ Valid Activities:

Strictly Outdoor, GPS-tracked activities recorded on Strava.

Permitted Strava activity types: Ride (including Gravel & Mountain Bike), Run (including Trail Run), Walk, and Hike.

Activities must start within the official event window according to the IST calendar date.

❌ Disqualified / Non-Scoring Activities:

Treadmill, indoor trainer, stationary bike, and virtual activities.

Manual entries without GPS data.

E-bike, electric scooter, or any motor-assisted activities.

Private activities or activities hidden from the challenge connection (ensure Strava privacy allows the challenge platform to read them).

Activities failing the minimum distance or speed criteria.

📊 6. SINGLE DAILY HIGHEST-POINT ACTIVITY RULE

Only ONE activity per calendar day (IST) will count toward the leaderboard.

If multiple valid activities are logged on the same day, the platform automatically selects and counts only the single activity that yields the HIGHEST points for that day.

Other activities completed on that day are ignored. Distances from multiple activities cannot be merged or combined.

📅 Active Day Definition: Any calendar day (00:00 to 23:59 IST) on which you record at least one qualifying activity meeting all criteria.

🏆 7. THE 5 PRECISION TARGET TIERS

Your final cumulative Total Score determines your designated tier:

🥉 Tier 1 (Detox): Up to 500.00 Points

🥈 Tier 2 (Flow): 500.01 to 800.00 Points

🥇 Tier 3 (Sadhana): 800.01 to 1200.00 Points

🎖️ Tier 4 (Ojas): 1200.01 to 1500.00 Points

👑 Tier 5 (Ultimate Champion): 1500.01+ Points (Open Ceiling — Highest Scorer)

🚨 8. THE LEVEL-SHIFT RULE (CRITICAL!)

In Tiers 1 through 4, the winner is the athlete who finishes closest to the upper ceiling without exceeding it.

⚠️ If your final score exceeds your target ceiling by even 0.01 Point, you will automatically be pushed into the next higher tier, immediately forfeiting your rank and claim in the lower tier!

Example: If you target Tier 1 (up to 500.00) and finish at 500.01 Points, you immediately shift to the very bottom of Tier 2 (500.01 to 800.00), losing your winning podium spot in Tier 1.

In Tier 5, there is no ceiling—the participant with the highest cumulative total score wins.

Tiers are never declared in advance; your placement is determined strictly by your final verified points.

🎖️ 9. AWARDS & PODIUM HONORS

🏆 Podium Trophies: Exclusive Champion Trophies awarded to Top scorer (no category) in EVERY single tier (Tiers 1 to 5)!

📜 Official Finisher E-Certificate: Awarded to ALL participants who successfully complete the mandatory minimum of 15 active days.

⚠️ Podium Eligibility: You must complete a minimum of 15 active days out of 21 to be eligible for any tier trophy.

⚖️ 10. TIE-BREAKER HIERARCHY

If two or more participants finish with the exact same points in the same tier, ranks are decided in this order:

🥇 Maximum Active Days: The athlete with more active logged days during the 21 days ranks higher.

⏱️ Lowest Total Moving Time: If active days are tied, the participant with the lowest cumulative moving time on Strava across counted activities wins.

🕒 Start Timestamp Priority: If moving time is also identical, the participant whose final score-producing activity started earlier in time/date takes the rank.

📌 11. TERMS & CONDITIONS

📅 15 Mandatory Days: You must log at least 15 active days out of 21 to earn the Finisher E-Certificate and podium contention.

🌲 Strictly Outdoor Only: No indoor, stationary, or manual logs allowed.

⏱️ Submission Deadline: Activities must be uploaded to Strava within 48 hours of completion. The final platform cutoff for all syncs is 2 December 2026, 23:59 IST.

🛡️ Fair Play & Integrity: Motor assistance, vehicle drafting, GPS spoofing, or fabricated data results in immediate disqualification.

🧾 Appeals Window: Any dispute must be submitted via email to contact@spinandstride.com within 72 hours of provisional result declaration, along with the Strava activity link.

⚖️ Admin Authority: In the event of technical discrepancies, GPS glitches, or edge-case disputes, the decision of the Spin & Stride Organizing Committee will be final and binding.
