Welcome to the ultimate seasonal transition challenge. As the searing summer heat makes way for the cooling monsoon skies, your goal is simple: keep moving.
This isn't about crushing agonizing distances; it’s about building an unbreakable daily rhythm and adapting to whatever the skies throw at you.
Choose Your Weapon Daily
To tick off a successful day, complete at least one of the following minimum thresholds based on your schedule, energy levels, or the weather outside:
- Run: 30 Minutes (Pace 8:30 min/km or better)
- Ride: 45 Minutes
- Walk: 30 Minutes

The "Diminishing Returns" Principle
To ensure the challenge celebrates sustainable daily habits and keeps the leaderboard accessible to walkers, runners, and cyclists alike, your daily effort points are optimized for peak efficiency targets:
- Time Yield Target: Your moving time earns maximum efficiency up to 100 points. Moving beyond this is amazing for your fitness, but your leaderboard point contribution tops out to encourage rest and recovery.
- Distance Yield Target: Distance tracking yields high rewards up to a maximum contribution of 200 points per day.
Why this rule exists: This challenge is designed to reward healthy, daily lifestyle consistency over intense, single-day exhaustion. By focusing on daily targets, we protect our community from overtraining and ensure that a dedicated daily walker can fairly share the leaderboard with an endurance triathlete!
The Power of Showing Up (How Scoring Works)
The Monsoon Chase isn’t about who is the fastest or who can travel the furthest—it’s about building an unbreakable daily habit. To reflect this, our scoring engine splits your daily score into two parts: The Base Reward and The Effort Tie-Breaker.
1. The 100-Point Presence Bonus (Your Base Reward)
- Just Show Up: Every single day you lace up your shoes or hop on your bike and hit the minimum threshold (30-min Run, 45-min Ride, or 30-min Walk), you are instantly awarded 100 Base Points.
- The Ultimate Multiplier: If you show up every single day of the challenge, you secure a flawless baseline of 3,000 points.
This is the foundation of the leaderboard. A dedicated user who shows up every single day will always outrank an elite athlete who logs massive workouts but skips days.
2. The 300-Point Effort Quest
If multiple participants hit a perfect 30-day streak, how do we crown the winner? That’s where your Daily Effort Points come in.
Beyond your initial 100-point presence bonus, you can earn up to an additional 300 Effort Points each day based on your moving time and distance.
No matter your sport, the playbook is simple: Lock in your 100 points by showing up daily, and grind for those extra effort decimals to claim your spot at the top of the leaderboard!
💡 Pro-Tip for Athletes: Avoid Overtraining
Remember: This challenge is built to celebrate daily rhythm and habit building, not single-day exhaustion. If you run 25 km or ride 120 km today, your effort points will still lock in at the 300-point maximum. Save that extra energy to ensure you can show up and log another successful activity tomorrow!
