Understanding Quests
Quests are optional objectives inside a Challenge. They have their own progress or standings and may award fixed bonus points in addition to normal Challenge activity points.
Find A Quest
- Open the Challenge.
- Select the
Queststab. - Open a Quest card to see its dates, requirements, progress, and standings.
The tab appears only when the Challenge has participant-visible Quests.
Complete A Multi-Leg Quest
A Multi-Leg Quest requires two or three qualifying activities on the same local day. The Quest card shows the required activity types, minimum distances, required order, maximum transition time, reward, and maximum number of rewarded completions.
Fixed ordermeans the activities must occur in the displayed order.Any ordermeans any chronological order is accepted.- The transition is measured from the end of one activity to the start of the next.
- Activities must not overlap, and one activity cannot satisfy two legs of the same attempt.
- Longer activities can qualify, but they do not increase the fixed Quest reward.
Attempt History And Rewards
The Quest card shows rewarded attempts in chronological order and the activities used for each leg. A participant can receive at most one Multi-Leg Quest reward per local day. Once the Quest-wide reward cap is reached, later valid attempts may be shown as valid but do not add another bonus.
Quest bonus points and normal activity points are separate. Completing a Quest never changes the score already calculated for an activity.
Why Credit Can Change
Quest progress is recalculated from the underlying Challenge activities. Credit or bonus points can be removed if an activity is deleted, edited, flagged, moved outside the Quest dates, or no longer meets a leg or transition requirement. Recalculation may promote another eligible attempt when the Quest cap allows it.
Troubleshooting
If an attempt is missing, check:
- every activity appears in the correct Challenge;
- activity types and distances satisfy the displayed legs;
- the activities occurred on the same local day and in the required order;
- activities do not overlap and transitions are within the displayed limit;
- none of the activities is flagged;
- the activities occurred within both the Challenge and Quest dates.
If the activity is visible but the Quest still looks incorrect, contact the Challenge organizer with the Quest name, activity links, and activity start times.
